Eid al-Fitr
Eid al-Fitr is the festival in which Muslims come together in gratitude to Allah after a month of fasting and spiritual training. The Eid prayer is a strongly emphasized sunnah.
In 2026, Eid al-Fitr falls on 2026-03-20. The Hijri equivalent is 1 Şevval 1447.
What Does This Eid Remind Us?
Eid is not merely a holiday; it is the joy of completing worship, the time when brotherhood is renewed and giving is shared. The warmth of neighbours and relatives reaches the heart today.
A Small Step for Today
- If possible, attend the Eid prayer in congregation.
- Check your zakat al-fitr; if it has not been distributed, complete it immediately.
- Visit your parents and elderly relatives.
- Reconcile with your neighbour and any estranged relative; enter the Eid with a pure heart.
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice. (Surah al-Kawthar 108/2 — Eid is rooted in worship and gratitude)
